Autumn/Winter 2014/15

As some may know, London Fashion Week has been with us now, and its now Bristol Fashion Week and considering I live in Bristol, I feel that it is the perfect time to show the world what I think of the pieces that came out of the catwalks across the globe recently.
Vogue have been delightful enough to put up there A-Z of AW14 which is really useful if you want to know about this seasons trends but you don't really wanna sift through thousands of clothing pieces from various designers. So, check that out.

As we all know, the catwalk clothing isn't always 'easy' to wear or practical, however it does influence what high street stores and designers put out there. This AW14, the trends and ideas have been a little different to what we are used to with Autumn/Fall. There are less burgundy and natural colours from the designers as they have gone for more risky prints and bright colours.

So the prints that we have seen from the catwalk this season are plentiful. Designers have been playing vigorously with various prints and colours and it is lovely.
Mary Katrantzou
This print may seem like too much for Autumn, but I really think that these over-embellished prints could really work for the upcoming party season. Also, because there is so much happening on the dress, with all the various tones and colours, there would be no need to accessorise. With prints like this just pair with some simple heels and you'd look amazing.

 Christian Dior
Now, these colours scream 'SUMMER' to me, but why not mix it up a little this year?! Obviously Dior had the exact same thought when he thought about this little number. Prada and Miu Miu have also been pushing the colour boundries this season too.

Celine
This seems perfect for Christmas doesn't it? Studs was the pinnacle of last years trends, so change studs to jewels and you look 100x more festive. If you didn't want to go so jeweled, take a not from Dolce & Gabbana's book and go for encrusted hoods!

 Mathew Williamson
For all you budding astrologists out there, we have the perfect print for you straight from the catwalk. This unique print is awesome and might be able to give you that pop of colour you need to dress up an outfit.

To contrast these somewhat different colours for Autumn, Mulberry did bring in some lovely Autumnal knitted patterns on their show with Cara Delevingne sporting some lovely colours that look mega cosy.

Even adding in some new patterns which may rock the high street stores this season, such as leopard print! The colours are absolutely gorgeous this season though!

Now, on to shoes. Apparently, according to Vogue, lace ups are going to be the new style for shoes this Autumn/Winter. I'm excited to see how different places interpret the new style for the colder months and make them wearable and not too cold.

Emilio Pucci

Also, i'm excited to finally hit the season of wearing capes instead of coats. I like the idea of capes because they are a bit different but in a sort of understated way. Also, you will look more elegant in a cape, and if you're a bit self-conscious like me, you can hide yourself within them. (Although, you shouldn't want to hide yourself because you're beautiful!)

Valentino
This cape is gorgeous from Valentino, and I absolutely adore the print of butterflies over it. I think the colours of the butterflies really allows you to stand out in it without being too OTT. It's slightly Red Riding Hood style with the amazing hood and you'll look so beautiful walking down the street with this little number on, or with any cape on for that matter. I'm definitely going to try and find one. Probably not Valentino though.. I'm not made of money.

That was my run down of what Vogue said came out of the runways this AW14. I'm going to do a bit of spending this weekend as I am going to London for a bit so I shall do a haul of what I bought. Also, this is the weekend I am moving house, so please bare with me. You may not get another post this week but hopefully by next week everything will be sorted and life can resume as normal.

Leave your thoughts in the comments.
Love you guys
